I'm surprised that spirulina is approved. It is only available in
freeze-dried form.
I've been looking at Barlean's Organic Green Drink, and contacted them
about it. They say that all enzymes and vitamins are retained. Wonderful
for people who are traveling or unable to obtain organic vegetables to
juice, or are otherwise temporarily unable to juice organic vegetables
in a masticating juicer.
Swanson makes organic freeze-dried carrots. They also say that all
enzymes and vitamins are retained, and have independent laboratory
assays to prove it. I haven't asked for that yet.

Re: [FlaxSeedOil2] Juicing & sugar

2007-12-03 03:18:18

Gary,
The sugar you get is proporionate to the amount of juice you drink, not the
amount of vegetables you juice.. I will leave the science of what is good or
bad juice to someone else. Considering the amount of vegetables you are juicing
and the amount of juice you are extracting, you obviously have a less efficient
juicer. It may very well be worth your investment to buy a better juicer,
preferrably a masticating juicer. Also, there are concerns about juicing all at
one time and drinking throughout the day since you lose some if not most of the
benifits of the juice when not consumed immediatley. rick

Retinitis Pigmentosa

My sixteen year old daughter has Usher Syndrom & is losing her sight to
RP. I have found that the great minds of this group are a wealth of
information. I would like feedback from any of you on the best course
to take regarding her RP. At this point in time, there is nothing
medical doctors can do. There is no treatment. I have heard that
there has been some small improvement in vision with the use of
Microcurrent, also with Micro Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, & lastly
Ozone. Does anyone have an opinion as to which therapy offers the most
promise & of utmost importance which is the safest?
Thank you for any infor you can provide.

Hi Pat,
Thanks for this wonderful research. I just happened to see a turmeric
root in health food store, which looks similar to ginger root. I am
planning to add it to my freshly pressed juices.

Why Tinker?

2007-12-02 14:22:15

The core of Dr Budwigs philosophy was to do no harm. She believed in the
universal truth that the body has the built in wisdom to heal itself and
that if a person has a disease the root cause(S), not just the symptoms
should be addressed through natural means. Thus she used whole raw foods,
sunshine, fresh air, and moderate exercise to heal her patients. She knew
that the mental/emotional and spiritual aspects were important too, thus she
stressed the removal of anxiety and worry through relaxation and forgiveness
If we keep this underlying framework in mind it becomes obvious that trying
to extend, enhance or improve on the Budwig Protocol is not wise. We are not
brilliant research scientists nor are we experts in applying the scientific
method. Thus the probability for any of us to improve on this protocol is
near zero, while the probability of arresting its effectiveness is very high
Common horse sense tells us that if it aint broken dont try and fix it.
Our focus should be on how to closely implement, rather than tinker around
with a synergistic protocol whose underlying philosophy we have yet to fully
comprehend.

that was identified on her ultras, the mamo, and ultimately the
biopsy as being cancerous gradually shrank to 60% its original size
and isn't rock hard the way it was this summer. There are cysts all
over the breast that are much larger and seem to have subsided to at
least some degree, but no where as much as the area said to be
cancerous. I would think that the fact that the tumor is smaller and
not as hard would be an indication that the breast cancer is on its
way out, but what worries me is that she's been getting nipple
discharge that's blood red. She's had discharge in the past in tiny
droplets, but this time it's more. Is this a good sign or a bad sign?
Is this the normal process of overcoming breast cancer?
Hi Victor,
Your description does sound as though your wife is healing.
From the Google search that I did, I found that the reason for a
bloody nipple discharge seems to be that certain ducts in the breast
are being affected. So, it may indicate that the tumors in your
wife's breast are affecting a milk duct near the nipple that was not
affected before.
One of Dr. Budwig's beliefs is that the cancer cells can grow a
little more as they become healthier. If that is what is happening
with your wife, then maybe some new cells have moved into specific
milk ducts that are now causing the bleeding. It doesn't necessarily
mean that the cancer is worse. It could mean that it is getting
better. Of course, we can't give you a definite answer. The website
infomation below helps to explain that bleeding is about the location
of the tumors, which could even be benign.
First website:
A small, noncancerous growth in a duct (intraductal papilloma)
Intraductal papilloma is a small, usually noncancerous (benign)
growth that projects into a milk duct near your nipple. It occurs
most often in women between the ages of 35 and 55. Nobody knows what
causes intraductal papillomas, and there are no known risk factors.
The discharge may be bloody or sticky and usually occurs
spontaneously from one duct only, with manipulation of your nipple.
You may notice staining or spotting from the discharge on your shirt
or the inside of your bra. You may also feel a small lump behind and
near the edge of your nipple (areola).
Your doctor may perform an ultrasound on your areola and surrounding
area to check for a nodule in a duct.
Second website:
Rust colored nipple discharge implies blood in the secretions from
the gland and ducts of the breast. Bloody discharge is worrisome for
basically two conditions: intraductal papilloma (about 90% of bloody
nipple discharge) and intraductal or other types of breast cancer
(about 10% of bloody nipple discharge). Rarely it can indicate other
benign or inflammatory conditions but intraductal papilloma and
cancer are the main two to rule in or rule out.
Almost always, a rust colored or bloody nipple discharge come from
only one of the breast ducts. A ductogram is an xray procedure in
which a very small, blunt-ended plastic tube is placed in the nipple
duct that is producing the discharge in order to inject dye and see
if there is a papilloma in the duct.

Hi, my wife is under a homeopathic doctors' care in Mexico. He has had
success in treating people with cancer who we know. My wife was on the
Budwig diet until she found it was too upsetting to her stomach.
Hardly a good reason in my book, but oh well. She also took the Hulda
Clark anti-parasite treatment, which seemed to shrink the tumor and
she takes Noni. The area that was identified on her ultras, the mamo,
and ultimately the biopsy as being cancerous gradually shrank to 60%
its original size and isn't rock hard the way it was this summer.
There are cysts all over the breast that are much larger and seem to
have subsided to at least some degree, but no where as much as the
area said to be cancerous. I would think that the fact that the tumor

Dr.Robert Marshall in Round Rock Texas has a great Gallbladder
cleanse that is very easy to take.
Here is the recipe for it.
1/2 c. organic tomato juice
2 Tablespoons organic Extra virgin Olive oil
1/2 t. grated raw garlic
2 capsules of organic tumeric. This is equal to 1/2 teaspoon. Open
the capsules and add to the drink.
Instructions; mix above in a high speed blender to make the first
drink. Drink this first thing in the morning. Wait 15 minutes then
drink a second drink using the same as above.
Wait 90 minutes before eating or drinking any thing.
Repeat the liver/gallbladder flush once a week for 2 months.
This is really a great tasting drink and does not make you sick

What is a masticating juicer?

2007-12-01 06:08:00

I have a question about the vegetable juicer. What's the difference between a
masticating juicer and a centrifugal type juicer? I have a juicer made by GE
that I bought from Walmart. So how can I tell?
